That Note the little Boy had, listing the things he wanted to repent for.

1.Being Moody.
2.Being bad at Maths.
3.Being Sad.

...It gets me every time. Those were the worst things he done he could think of. Pure innocence.

The writer/director Martin McDonagh filmography is worth exploring some really interesting movies. Seven Psychopaths is my favorite.

Was once threatened with the Police in Bruges for not paying to use the public toilet. Had no Belgian Francs as we were just passing through on the way to the Netherlands (pre-Euro currency). Also chased by security in a department store for going the wrong way down an escalator because we couldn't find the stairs! Never been in any kind of trouble like that either before or after, but two hours in Bruges proved mildly eventful!

It’s like a surrealist dark comedy drama lol the tone of the dialogue is pure comedy. It reminds me of an old Irish comedic play, which are much bleaker darker and drier in their comedic tone than most people are used to for comedy but it’s still meant to be funny most of t he time. It’s some of my fav screen writing of the 2000s. Think about the meta dialogue and how funny it’s is when Harry says, “Don’t be ridiculous this is THE shootout.” It’s like a 4th wall break using dialogue alone but it still fits in with the scene and doesn’t have to be out of place. It’s very surrealistic and hilarious but also fits with the dialogue in this action scene. Fiennes’ delivery is perfect too.

There is something to be said for the theories out there. "Do you believe in heaven and hell?" "This all looks weird; what does it mean?" "A fog settled over the town. He said 'I know I'm awake, but I feel like I'm in a dream.'" "It's like a fairytale." People have alleged that Bruges is an allegory for purgatory, and Ray is battling through a test. One of my favorite movies.

My dog is named Colin Feral because of this movie because his puppydog eyes reminded me of Colin Farrell in this movie.
