One major benefit of this technique is that lovely sound! The strikes really ring out in a very satisfying way 😄

Brilliant tutorial as always Paul. As a side note for safety ' Always tie your dog up if using these techniques '
I nearly always have my dog Billy by my sidexwhen out adventuring and I 100% fasten him up out of the way when I use these techniques. Not worth thinking about what could happen 😮.
Same goes for people too lol. Tie them out of the way too lol 😂.
Cheers Paul, atb Rick n Billydog

Paul, good morning from northeastern Illinois, thanks for another great video. I did like the part where you had to remind everyone that we're all adults. Sometimes people forget that!!!
All the best
Ed

Excellent! And a big thank you for showing the different length axe. You're very thorough and by repeating even I understand! 🤣 Hello from across the big pond.

Thanks for sharing. I saw you doing this technique also in a video with TA Outdoors. That was an absolutely brilliant video which I’ve watched several times. The quote (from memory) «A swinging axe is an accident waiting to happen» has really followed me after, and I preach it whenever appropriate. It also motivated me to get hold of one of your books «Wilderness Axe Skills and Campcraft» which I can highly recommend to everyone. Enjoy your weekend
