Hey all! Important notes: You CAN use the speakers without app setup. The button on top is now the input switch so Bluetooth, HDMI eARC and analog inputs are accessible but that’s it you’ve also got remote control for limited sound modes. Also forgot to mention the connecting wire isn’t quite long enough for wide placement but there is wireless inter-speaker connection for Sevens II and Ninei II.

Love your reviews man. Yes, reviewing all 3 makes a big difference in terms of context, content and feel of the speakers. Comparison of other alternative speakers even adds more value to the review. Brilliant👌🏼

I debated buying the previous gen of The Fives. I ended up going with RSL CG23M bookshelf speakers, Speedwoofer, and ia255.1 amp for $800. I couldn't justify Klipsch' price a year ago. Today's price is crazy.

I purchased the nines based on your recommendation a few years ago. I love them! I don't know if I can justify the upgrade with that price.

Completely different, but I just thought I mention ADAM AUDIO T8V. It has been an awesome easy set up and I use an arv. For a fraction of the cost .

I'd have to go with the svs prime wireless pros and a 3000r micro for the price of the sevens ii.

Can you compare these to the Cambridge LRs

Hey Caleb, just curious if the modern wood side paneling behind your TV is just fashionable? Or has some viewing/ audio benefit? I noticed the same treatment done to a local A/V shop on one of their display walls.
It looks really good.

These speakers really intrigue me. I just don't have a need for them since I have a 7.1.4 Klipsch setup that was recently refreshed, which I use primarily for movies. They would be awesome in the garage gym but way too pricey (and nice looking) for that. My 11 year old Polk soundbar w/subwoofer fit that bill just fine. Oh, BTW, my wife walked by and said, "Good morning, Caleb!"

Thanks for this video, Caleb! We currently have the gen 1 The Fives in our greatroom (19ft ceilings open concept) with a Klipsch subwoofer connected, and they've served us fantastic for occasional TV viewing (eARC to a Samsung Frame) or - exactly as you said - music listening while in the kitchen. In a space that large I find the additional subwoofer really helps out the whole setup. My only complaint with the setup has been the app/software, which just refuses to connect so often, I haven't bothered to use the app in years. Do you find the app and connectivity to be better in the newer gen?

I’ve been looking to downsize from a 5.1 setup. Is anyone running the Nines 2 with or without a sub as a do-it-all system? Movies, games and music.

Inputs would be appreciated!
