Council Member of the Dione here.

First of all amazing video. I have shown it to my family as a "this is what I use all my leave for" and they understand it a bit more.

Thank you for your many compliments. I had no idea that you would have backed me for President, it was my second megagame and I didn't want to become that important so quickly.

To explain some of my actions. The Dione is a whale. It produces nothing. So I thought that to ensure the Dione is not isolated I need to keep the people on side. All the new world nations are suspect of the FAS and the Dione and I was concerned that the old world nations could be turned against the Dione by asking one simple thing "what do they do?" I was worried that if a hard decison had to be made and a ship abandoned the obvious answer was the Dione.

So I decided that I had to represent everyone to represent the Dione. I made sure to talk to other ships when possible and gauge how they were feeling, about the council, about the President, about the other ships.

This is why I voted no confidence in the President. From my discussions it was clear that the ships of the fleet had already lost confidence in the President and that postponing the inevitable would just lead to more resentment and conflict.

I backed the Dione Captain as President for many reasons. First he was an experienced player who people seemed to know. Second he was the hero of the fleet and had genuine popular support. Third he was not a politican and I could feel trust in the council wavering even from the Aegis. Fourth I was concerned about the formation of a military junta so wanted to forestall that or at least if it happened have a military backed President which I felt the Captain could be. Fifth. The Dione needed supplies, every new turn was a new crisis, I thought with strong leadership that the Dione would get what it needed.

As such when we slowly began to discover that the Captain of the Dione was a Wolf, I was lost. I wandered the room wondering what I had almost done. Then continued to try and get the Dione the support it needed, first supplies and then evacuation shuttles. I listened to the issues of the fleet and slowly realised that the Dione was going to crumble. So was trying to find myself the best ship to evacuate to. There were murmurings that certain groups would abandon the fleet. During the final moments of the game I found myself on Icebreaker which seemed to have been overtaken with Revolutionary fevour due to the heroics of Refinery 124. I seem to remember there being some discussion of re-education should we survive the Wolves.

By their own admission, the representative from Rosal conspired to withhold key resources and information from their fellows in the fleet. They intended to misdirect the fleet with false jump coordinates. They planned to endanger the bulk of humanity by absconding with the Shepard, and endanger the remnants of humanity by following the Endeavour knowing Wolf operatives would be in pursuit. Be they a Wolf or not, those charges of treason sound pretty fair.

Absolute kino. I love megagames but they are naturally hard to properly turn into a watchable video. You did a brilliant job with the Sins graphics combined with the moving overlay to help provide a physical landscape to the story.

There is a kind of beauty that memes character, which throughout makes choices both in an effort to ensure the survival of humanity but also often a bit extra tinged with personal survival and greed, is able to ensure the survival but his greed stops him from being a part of that survival

26:30 I love the image of an attack happening and everyone coming together, meanwhile the politicians are away from battle safe and afar fighting each other for control

Glad to see the trend of diplo starting out on a team and proceeding through the entire game managing to alienate and turn his entire team against him due to constant flip floping hold true in other medias

I have never, and I mean NEVER been this engaged in a video. This was brilliant, you played the game magnificently regardless of what side you were, because you would have won had you been on the Endeavor. That Wolf attack was devastating. THANK YOU for sharing this with everyone. Its my first video that I've ever seen from you but I think I'd watch just about any type of video you make.

I do like how both the crew of the science ship look like stereotypical nutty sci-fi scientists. Very on brand.

I can't help but notice how Meme started telling himself he's 'saving the very human species' while according to the backstory he presented at the start the wolves are just another human nation themselves

If only there was a follow-up about the third wolf... Oh, will you look at that. XD

Brilliant story well told and it only reinforces the saying about Traitor games like this: A player that makes terrible decisions is indistinguishable from a wolf.

What a brilliant video. Until now, I’d only known about megagames from ‘Shut Up and Sit Down’.
The story is better and more gripping than quite a few films or series I’ve watched recently. You can really see what a great dynamic develops when real people make decisions. You can literally feel that ‘authenticity’.

Apart from that, the video is well produced and, as a non-native speaker, I was able to follow everything very easily.

Your video has got me hooked on taking part in a megagame myself. Unfortunately, the scene in Germany is still quite small.

I’m going to have a browse through the rest of your content now and I’m excited to see what other gems are in store for me.

The number of moments when I thought, "Hey, I remember that episode of BSG" is testament to how good an adaptation into game form this must be.
