  Fun fact the zombies were played by a troupe of breakdancers called the Bonebreakers who specialize in contorting their bodies in ways that appear unnatural

  The father finally seeing how important his daughter is to him and becoming an actual dad in the end is genuinely one of the most heartwarming and heartbreaking moments I've ever seen. And the daughter singing the song she learned for him in the end always makes me cry.

  There’s a lot of symbolism with blood on the father’s hands in this movie. At the beginning he’s very cold and clean with a few shots that show his hands when talking on the phone to his ex wife and coworkers and is distant when interacting with his daughter. It was his company that was responsible for the virus and he finds this out when he has blood on his hands and frantically tries to wash it off at the point of the movie that he starts to care for others. At the end he takes the bite to his bloodied hand in place of someone else to protect the pregnant woman and his daughter to bring his character full circle. The pregnant lady’s husband also takes the bite in the hand to protect his wife and others after saying the part about a father’s sacrifice. There’s so much that symbolism and detail in this movie that I can’t even begin to mention.

  That little girl acted her little ass off. I was crying again by the end and this was just your reaction to it.  I'm gonna make some friends watch this movie this weekend. We need some more trauma bonding

  What gets me sobbing Isn’t the little girl crying, it’s the fact the father started sobbing as well when he realized he would NEVER see his little baby grow up and that even though he just saved her life, he lost his. I WILL ONLY EVER RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO MY WORST ENEMY.
