  Not a KDrama, but a movie that's been around that everyone should see is Leon with Jean Reno and a very young Natalie Portman (it might have been her first major role?). Like this one, it is so much more than the plot synopsis. Amazing action, funny in moments, horrifying in others, chock full of fantastic performances.

  Korean has multiple &quot;respect levels&quot; in how they speak, though mostly it comes down to 2 modes -- friends/family in 1, and &quot;everyone else/semi-formal.&quot; &nbsp;Koreans speakers often comment that throughout the film that Su-an speaks in the semi-formal mode to her dad, indicating that she doesn&apos;t feel particularly close to him, but at the end she changes to the &quot;friends/family&quot; mode as she&apos;s screaming for him not to leave her. Makes that scene hit even harder.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1mBZCmEsoM&amp;t=299">4:59</a> you see the when mom/grandma was introduced, but first the house—fancy, modern, big, but minimal decor (no personality / less lived)<br><br>Then the mom, that u can mistake as a nanny, old, simple, almost shabby outfit, and pickling her own veggies. <br><br>This showed that they come from middle class, even poor family, one that cant afford a house like that. But he did! <br><br>So he neglects his kid because he is busy climbing the ladder. Not ideal, but happens alot of times.
