  I do think Hollow Knight achieves this as well. Even when your ultimate goal is down you often have to climb upwards, and you still lose progress when falling into the floor hazards common in long horizontal platforming rooms - at least with Silksong&apos;s vertical ones, you can catch yourself on a ledge before falling all the way to the floor. I also think you lose something by not discussing the moments where the game forces/tries to force you to fall long distances eg to Bilewater. HK does this with Deepnest.

  This game is brutal. I rage quit it halfway through &nbsp;act 2. I live in America I don&apos;t need an effing video game to intentionally antagonize me.
