I'm a straight guy and even I think Alain Delon is a handsome man.  His look is unique in that it can be of different types.  IE he can look like the poor upbringing type, the aristocratic private school good look, the self made millionaire confidence, the assassin's brood, the womanizing Romeo trickery, etc.

There is something more than just beauty about him... an effortless charm, the sexy lines around the mouth, more than masculine, yet sweet and tender. I use to be in love with him as a young girl. We all were. There was of course no Internet in those days, just pictures of him in the magazines, or, if you were lucky, a poster. Still, he was everywhere, his blue eyes following you and that semi-smile hanging like a promise of love on his mouth. He was  the eternal charmer. I do not believe there will be another. Ever. Thank you monsieur Delon, for the memories.

What you do not know about Alain Delon is that in 1953, at the age of 17, he was enlisted in the French army and took part in the Indochina War for three years. His manhood is real.
