  If only my craw space was as tall as theirs, with only 2 feet high is and bunch if wires, pipes and bugs is a bigger challange

  As an architect, I want to point out you do need to ventilate a crawl space unless its is thermally sealed, according to IRC if you're trying to copy this video. They are managing the condensation with dehumidification which should work but does not meet code. They'll want continuous insulation on all that concrete if you take the vents off.

  My crawl space is a war zone type space, lay on the dirt and pull yourself with your elbows and push off with your toes!!! Never would have built a house that close to the ground!!!

  hell yeah!!! 10 mil, zip system tape, seam tape, and a badass dehumidifier. Thanks guys for all the info. About to save a crazy amount of money. woooooh

  Nice work. &nbsp; If you ever do this again at another house, may I suggest you utilize Siga Fentrim tape for adhering the plastic to the CMU block. &nbsp; It&apos;s designed as a permanent solution when taping to concrete, concrete block, ect..., where as the Zip system tape is designed for taping to wood. &nbsp; (It is strong though.) &nbsp; Also, add a couple water alarms, as any plumbing leak, etc.... has no way to get into the ground. &nbsp; One sensor at the lowest point in the crawlspace, and one directly under your water heater. &nbsp; Again, very nice job! &nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>PS: &nbsp; My wife would never get under the house with me for such a task. &nbsp; Kudos!

  I need to hire someone to raise my house about 4 feet then I can save a bunch of money by encapsulating crawl space myself.

  I would have gone all the way ah up the cinder block walls but before that I would have insulated the walls with styrofoam insulation. Great job cutting and fitting the barrier
