  The fact that the lamanites could be hemmed down south really does suggest a peninsula. You can’t hem anyone in Ohio.

  You boys ain&apos;t no apostates. You&apos;re studying and learning interesting facts. I&apos;ve always known the Hill Cimura as the Hill Cimura - and I always put it in New York. I never pay attention to the fact the Hill Cimura was elsewhere. I think you boys helped put a puzzle together for me. So, good job!

  David and his digital BoM and then the app using it as an audio book again was a miracle for me. I&apos;m dyslexic and have never been able to read it through. Thank you David for all the work you do! You will never know how much it means to me ♥️

  I love the use of all of the scriptures used to make a point. So many versus sighted and read! You can follow along and make up your own mind on each point. Thank you for putting this together. I think it is very important to know that the Book of Mormon is a real text and happened in a real place. I know it is true and these supporting evidences give me a perspective into the book that enhances my study. I love being able to go to historical sites and get a perspective of what happened there. Now I feel like I can do that with the Book of Mormon. Thank you David, Jay and the Paul Bros for continuing to show these presentations. Keep them coming!

  towards the end of Alma, we learn about Hagoth and a bunch of Nephites who are tired of all the warring and uncertainty, and build ships and migrate far to the north, including some of their priests. we don&apos;t know why the BoM record keepers didn&apos;t go with them, but we know that the record keeps knew of the friendly people who migrated north. at the very end, when the Nephites of the south are ending and Moroni is trying to keep the record safe, what other direction do we think he&apos;d travel?

  I was dead set on the USA module, but I also always wondered why they didn&apos;t spread out more instead of going north. So this makes much more sense to me.

  This discussion reminded me of something my mother taught years ago in Gospel Doctrine. She pointed out that North and South America resemble the wings of a great eagle, connecting the image with Isaiah&apos;s phrase, &quot;the land shadowing with wings.&quot; I always assumed that was a uniquely LDS idea, but I recently discovered it actually predates the Book of Mormon. In View of the Hebrews (1823), Ethan Smith, commenting on Isaiah 18:1, describes North and South America as &quot;the two great wings... meeting as at the body of a great eagle.&quot; Whether one finds that interpretation convincing or simply an interesting devotional analogy, it demonstrates that this symbolism was already circulating in American religious thought years before the Book of Mormon was published. It also serves as a reminder that many biblical interpretations we sometimes associate with early Mormonism were actually part of the broader Protestant culture of the early 1800s. I think that&apos;s the kind of historical context that makes discussions like this even more interesting. It doesn&apos;t prove or disprove anything by itself, but it helps us better understand the world in which Joseph Smith and the early Saints lived and the symbolic ways many people of that era read the Bible.
