  The formulation here is much simpler than that and it applies to everyone, be them avoidant, secure, loving, loveless, good, bad, strong, weak, whathaveyou. The simple truth is that we all have three parts to us: ego, identity and nature. Ego is what we believe we want. A rich husband, a 10/10 trophy wife, commitment to us while we remain "independent", etc. Identity is what we need to grow. Self-reflection, a purpose, security AND challanges, a willingness and capacity to embrace uncertainty and vulnerability in pursuit of more depth and expansion. That's where true, sustainable satisfaction lies. Nature is how we're wired and what internal resistence we will encounter in that pursuit. We can't simply choose identity over ego, biology gets a vote too. So, when someone (the 'woman' in this example) chooses ego over identity-work, how a badboy makes her feel over the slow, patient, rarely valuable investment offered by 'a good man' because her nature seeks intensity and fireworks, that's not a failure limited to that woman. It begs the question how YOU do the same, what you avoid, what temporary relief you go after instead of doing the ardous work of 'becoming'. If you are the good man here, what you feel while watching this video is ego. It's external validation seeking. It's pain relief. Not saying it's not valuable, just not the kind of value you should depend on. Your identity is built on your standards and boundaries. Somebody failed to meet them? Fine. Not your problem what happens to them, that's their business.

  I opened my own account when she left a year ago, let her come home in Dec but didn't allow her access to my account. I paid all the   household bills but refused to pay her credit cards when she left again in June and filed for divorce on July 1st as far as I know she must not have been paying her credit cards because I started getting notices from I'm assuming collection agencys because now she's been in the paper for nonpay. When I started getting those in the mail I took them to the lawyer to see what I should do with them they told me to quit taking care of her return to sender not a resident.
