i'm 76 and still moving faster than 90% of the rest. I love your videos and some day I am going to take one of your mining tours. Everyone thinks I am crazy when I watch all your videos.

We live in Oregon in the Bohemia mining district. Our property has a river and my husband is just learning to prospect on our property. We have all of the right types of rock so hopefully he finds some Gold.

Jeff I been real sick for awhile but Wednesday I went to hospital appendix. Boy it was angry had a tumor. I didn't want surgery. I remembered yours. I'm home now. It almost ruptured. I'm 67 to dam old for this chit. But your sharing yours made me agree to let them cut. ❤❤Jeff. Sometimes it's not gold but other stories you and pops used to tell. My great grandfather got the family through the Great Depression by inventing a dry washer. He got a patent for it, and he studied maps and would go out to the old riverbeds and alluvial deposits on the desert side of the San Gabriel mountains in southern California and get gold. I'm sure he would have loved a dry washer like yours though!

Jeff falling head long into geology and sharing his knowledge of it all is inspiring. We need that kind of ambition and excitement in other areas of collage learning. We need the stories of doctors saving lives, or lawyers protecting the innocent, or plumbers saving a house. We need the old valuable reasons back to go above and beyond like Jeff here does. There has to be a recognized benefit at the end of the study!!! Thank you Jeff for expressing that. It is appreciated.

I used to mine these in the desert. Look for the rounded river stones, and cemented iron sands in a wash or small canyon side.

My dad was a petroleum geologist. One time wandering around a river bend, he was teaching me about sediment layers and such, and I turned to him and asked him "Dad, see that bend and small cliff in the dry wash? I bet there is gold down there". He laughed and said "Oh, all the gold has already been found, what' left is very hard to find".<br>I wish he'd paid attention to me...
