  They say Silent Hill fans are the most miserable. Well, I&apos;m sure Ana was pretty miserable down in that basement in Martyrs too.   Silent Hill is when you stub your toe so hard you hallucinate toe shaped demons to haunt you. These demons remind you that you forgot to pay a bill on time 6 years ago.

  I&apos;ve been downright crucified for questioning this game&apos;s legitimacy as a true Silent Hill, and the common response is &quot;Have you played Short Message? In that game it&apos;s stated that Silent Hill is a phenomena, not a town&quot;.<br><br>Are Silent Hill fans really that easy to please? It&apos;s downright pathetic how they are unable to question Konami at this point.<br><br>&quot;Because of people like you Konami is going to shelve the franchise another decade!&quot;. Well, I prefer that than to see this beloved franchise be watered down with each new game.

  the whole &quot;be greatful we&apos;re getting anything&quot;/&quot;if you dont like/support this new thing, you&apos;re a fake fan&quot; phenomena is genuinely the worst thing to happen in general as of the last few years. It isn&apos;t even limited to Silent Hill or gaming as a whole either, almost any dead franchise that&apos;s been brought back in a clear misguided direction is almost guaranteed to get you responses like that. no one seems to understand the idea that we&apos;d rather see what we grew up with put away for good instead of being brought back and having its corpse paraded into something we never saw it as prior. it&apos;s all so tiresome.<br><br>Also I cannot wait for someone to take <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu9zoiqdTwc&amp;t=1239">20:39</a> seriously at face value. I feel it in my bones that it&apos;s gonna happen.

  Plot of every Modern Silent Hill going forward:<br><br>&gt;”I was the problem the whole time!” <br>&gt;”Society was the problem the whole time.”<br><br>While the town itself is reduced to convoluted Aesop villain you would find in a terrible A24 movie…..

  Another complaint I have about the game is that you don&apos;t explore many buildings in this game. The only building you explore is the school. Everything else is an abstract maze. I would have loved to explore a 1960s Japanese hospital and prison, that would have been fun. Instead you&apos;re running around lots of dark hallways that lead to random rooms. You&apos;re not really in a particular area.

  I always had this feeling this was not exactly a Silent Hill game, but a game named after something great from a golden era.
