Growing up here in Florida my dad taught me a lot of what is in this video. It should be a father son moment for most folks today will bring folks together.

John James Adobaun met James Bowie in New Orleans 1817. They became friends and over dinner Adobaun related to Jim that he bumped into a Loup garou in a bayou just east of New Orleans. He was seeking specimens so he had his fowling piece. He came across wolf tracks so he followed them. But. In mid stride the wolf track became a footprint of a human. No footwear. He felt he was being watched and extreme danger. He fled forthwith. You can find this ordeal in the book title, The Iron Mistress, page 23.

Those skill s are not forgotten. Every year around October. Some men prepare for hunting season .some even can't wait to use their black powder rifles.

One thing that I’ve never seen said in any video is wetting your nostrils to better smell. Animals have wet noses and a far better sense of smell than humans. I was taught at a young age by a native friend to wet my fingers and rub my nostrils to improve the sense and after over 55 years it still works. Use water or simply lick or spit on your fingers to moisten your nose.
