  emerald roaches are really pretty, also zoomed in face of an isopod is surprisingly cute and could watch it eat for hours

  As an arthropod lover, I had this in my &apos;watch later&apos; playlist for a rainy day. This is that &quot;rainy day.&quot; 10/10, needed to see these neat little fellas today. Love their little claw feet.

  I learned like 10 years ago while feeding dozens of species of reptiles that not all roaches are like the ones that infest our houses. About 30 out of over 4,600 species of cockroaches are associated with human habitats. The rest are just bugs, some pretty, some look like pill bugs, these emerald roaches look like pretty pill bugs actually. I like them. And they&apos;re slow, they just walk around. They don&apos;t scoot up your arm in the blink of an eye or fly around like an alien infestation. I used to feed my monitor lizards, bearded dragons, and geckos Dubia roaches. They&apos;re a little less pretty, but just as chill.
