  If you ever think of doing this again, and you dislike the cannibalism, a easy solution is to throw in large chunks of food, like carrots and chunks of fish, basically anything that multiple triops can feed on at once.

  My friend and I raise triops every Spring and we literally call them mvrder shrimp bc literally no matter how well fed they are kept, how clean the jar, or good the conditions, they will /always/ eat each other. We literally keep one per container with an oxygen bubbler, filter, plants, and food, unless they&apos;re a breeding project. We have so many videos of them eating things 3 to 5 times their own size, and if it&apos;s biological in any way, they&apos;ll eat that too. Plants, insects, algae, it doesn&apos;t matter. We have to replace their duckweed every few days because even it can&apos;t reproduce fast enough to outrun them. The only thing I&apos;ve ever seen them leave alone is marimos, but even then they still eat the bacteria on the surface of them, and its possible if left long enough they&apos;d slowly get eaten too. Honestly though, that&apos;s why they&apos;re our favorite. Absolute lunatics in every way and crazy fun to watch, like a fire-ant nest you don&apos;t have to worry about escaping into your home.
