  I can&apos;t imagine having my head shaved, and then led to a marriage bed and after intimacy my husband leaps out of bed and if bloodied have to report it to his counselor. And as a woman, then to be declared untouchable for seven days even if blood was not present.<br><br>As a woman, all of these things just seem humiliating.

  See this is the problem. &nbsp;The graphic part, the part people REALLY need to know about is “skipped” over. &nbsp;That’s the problem with ultra-conservative ideology (whether it be Jewish, Christian or Muslim). You cannot send children into the world unarmed. &nbsp;You do them a disservice. &nbsp;You don’t need to show them Boogie Nights”, but you gotta do better than this.

  This is so disturbing. I can respects the foreign customs but being forced to have sex with a person you don&apos;t know is unhuman and cruel. <br>And it&apos;s so scripted and fake it makes me so sad for the bride who doesn&apos;t know anything different

  I&apos;m a non religious Jew but I think this should be taught to everyone. It was so beautiful and sets a good foundation for marriage if the couple can maintain this kindness to each other. The problem comes when that amount of caring and respect for each other get lost in a marriage.

  I have a feeling this man has a very good relationship with his wife and her family. You can tell he&apos;s happily married and knows how to keep his wife happy. <br>I also love how the teacher said &quot;don&apos;t just go straight for her body, she&apos;s not ready for that&quot;. I wish all men knew that.

  Thank you for sharing this - I wish i knew this when I worked in NICU &nbsp;for over 35 yrs and attended Hasidic women’s births - I knew they had limited information about their bodies and very often seemed traumatized by labor and delivery and breastfeeding - reading this really makes it truly understandable why so many were on antidepressants and appeared so miserable ! Such difficult lives! They did have a rich life if support from other women and over the years I saw some couples that really seemed to have normal happy marriages in their own terms with smaller families . I always tried to be as kind to the young women as possible and let them know that I was there to care for them and their babies as if they were my own and many responded with trust to me

How much trouble they can have if he would assume it means she did something wrong, or she&apos;s not healthy.

  I found the way the Groom Teacher explained the whole process particularly moving, you can tell he himself has a very happy life with his wife and is not only teaching the groom about the intimacies of married life but above all to RESPECT his wife. Very touching indeed ❤

  I think the repeated reminders to compliment your wife&apos;s outfit, remember that a lot of time and effort went into it, try to take good care to protect it (such as helping keep the dress off the ground), and notice and remark when she changes outfits is very sweet and great advice for anyone to try to follow throughout the whole marriage! Noticing and being grateful for the effort our partners put in for us is a lovely part of maintaining lifelong love. Thank you for sharing 🙂
