Procol Harum is the name of the band. His name is Gary Brooker and they began in the 60s and were part of the British Invasion of rock groups that dominated back then.

Procol Harum is a band, Gary Booker is the singer pianist. Check out Conquistador from the Live album with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra from1971.

Procol Harum was the band and Gary Brooker was the singer. The studio version of this song came out in 1967 and was great but this live version with the Danish Symphony Orchestra and choir has so much more depth to it. Gary Brooker's voice aged like a fine wine. R.I.P. Gary. Another great song from the same year is 'Nights in White Satin' by the Moody Blues. Watch them sing it live with an orchestra.
