A couple years ago my husband and I had the amazing opportunity to raft the Grand Canyon for 9 days with some of the top geologists in the country. We got to study the layers. A professor friend of ours had t-shirts made with the layers printed upside down so we could read them while wearing them.😅

When I took a Geology 101 course in College, I couldn't remember the "unconformity" term to save my life...so I just called it the "Great Nothing" much to my instructors amusement!

Everytime the Earth experiences an ice age that lasts so long that the ice is KM thick, there is an even longer period of warming, melting, cooling and warming again then raining... This happened after every Ice Age & literally washes History of the Face Of The Earth.
