Craziest thing OJ did was 2000 yards in 14 games. 14 games!

Nobody could slice through people quite like OJ could.

Due to the crazy criminal cases O.J. had, his actual NFL career is overlooked. He really is one of the best backs to ever live.

People forget how early Sanders could've broken the all time rushing record. He retired after another 1,000+ yard season, just 1k yards short of Walter Payton's record.

Took Emmitt Smith playing for quite a while after his prime & many years to finally beat it

What people forget about Terrell Davis is that the 2,008 yard year, he was often rested during a lot of those games. Denver would be up big and they would pull him. Could have been much more yards.

No Terrell Davis in the thumbnail pic is crazy, especially considering he went on to win the Super Bowl that season.

I agree that running backs are being overlooked today. Derrick Henry's 87 yard touchdown run on Sunday was a classic. Long live the running back.

Terrell Davis sat out for a total of 8 quarters in his 2000 yard achievement. He could have easily gained 2500 yards. He is the most unappreciated running back of all the 2000 yard rushers.

Barry doing it with no offense line or offensive support is NUTS

Barry Sanders was my favorite running back in the 90's. He was the most explosive guy on the field, in my opinion. I didn't even like the tenderloins back then, but I liked to watch Barry. When I ran track, I modelled my running form after his style: low to the ground and aerodynamic with his elbows in.

A crazy thing everyone forgets is that Denver was so good that year that Davis sat out the equivalent of 2 1/2 games in 4th quarters while Denver was blowing everyone out. If he has played the entire games he would have easily ran for the most yards ever and probably would have been like 2300-2500 yds
