Andrew Luck did live up to the hype. Injuries just ruined his great career.

Stanford grads are typically more apt to retire rather than play until they can no longer walk because that Stanford degree gives them options (example: Bears center Drew Dalman this year). Also, just like RG3, the Colts disregarded his line protection and criminally mismanaged his health

Vick and Reggie Bush to me were both just born 10 years too early. Had they come into the league in the 2010s when the offensive creativity exploded as far as schemes and play calling and offensive players got more protection from big hits which made the middle of the field more viable i think they both are in the HOF.

Vick rushing for 1000 yards in 2006 is still one of the most impressive things a QB ever did because it was purely off scrambles and bootlegs. If he played today with all the designed runs and schemes built around athletic QBs he could easily have had multiple 1500 yard rushing, 3000 yard passing seasons.

Reggie today would be what Kamara or Christian Mccaffrey are but back then a running back that played more on the edge and was an elite receiver was more of a secondary option not a main focal point of an offense like they are now.

There is an alternate universe where Andrew Luck finishes his career after 15 seasons in the league. I want to go there.

I'm missing Michael Thomas here, on his peak one of the best Receivers in the NFL but didn't last long...

Luck was still a pretty generational talent in the NFL. He was a great qb. Just had a shortened career d/t injury & poor Oline

I know I’m late, but we have to at least mention Ryan Shazier. One of the best defensive players in the league that was brought to a slamming hault
