  I still play acnh mostly because I&apos;m determined to finish the museum, &nbsp;but I refuse to time travel... 😅 taking me years (off and on) &nbsp;to do because I play in bursts

  I have an NH island as old as launch day, and I used to be self conscious that it doesn&apos;t look complete while every one else is on their fifth island but... picked the game up again recently, and I actually like the fact I still have stuff to do. Still have new creatures to catch etc.

  It seems odd that Nintendo decided to localize such a strange game like Animal Crossing, but I’m pretty sure The Sims’ success had a big influence on that decision. And like, after Wild World became a huge hit (11 million, top 10 on the DS), of course Nintendo started treating it as one of their major franchises. What happened with City Folk is that they thought making an “improved” version of Wild World would sell easily.

  Animal Crossing New Horizons came out at the exact perfect time to sell as well as it did. What better way to deal with being locked up inside your house all day then playing a game where you just chill outside all day. <br><br>I love AC its one of my fav series but had the lockdowns not happened i doubt it&apos;d&apos;ve reached any where near that number of sales

  I had a test at school last year that was literally just writing an essay about the positive/negative effects of video games and the example we were supposed to use was literally Animal Crossing

  And now we have the 3.0 update. Finally my wife and I had a reason to start over on the game! We&apos;re both such different people from who we were in 2020, it&apos;s amazing to come back to this game after over half a decade with new eyes.

  I live animal crossing, I fall asleep every night to the soundtrack. It has so many good memories for me. And I really have always been into life simulator type games.

  Nintendo should add an Animal Crossing themed resort/hotel in Super Nintendo World
