  The 90s and 2000s were such a fun time to be a kid. Phones weren't in their current form yet,  so you actually had to play with friends, video games, and toys.

  I definitely preferred 2000s technology to modern stuff. The advancements actually felt exciting and innovative, and like they were advancing things in a positive, and not a dystopian way like today's tech.

  I feel like the reason we look so fondly on technology from 2 decades ago is that we’ve lost the balance and healthy relationship we once had with technology. Today there’s such an unhealthy dominance of and widespread addiction to screens that has completely broken the balance we used to have even if technology is more advanced today than 20 years ago. You would still have people go outside and play in their spare time in the 2000s and that lasted even into the 2010s but now everyone stays inside staring at devices and the internet is incredibly controlled and sterile. 4chan might be gone forever which even if considered a bit of a cesspool (because of boards like /pol/) it was a pillar of the old internet.

  As someone whose childhood was in the 90&apos;s; you nailed exactly the &quot;missing&quot; or &quot;empty&quot; feeling I have with technology nowadays.

  I graduated high school in 2004 and it was a freaking AWESOME time to be a teenager - imagine having all of this cool stuff AND getting your driver’s license
