  We need more programs like this that allow University students to work on cold cases. I think you’d see quite a few results like this with enthusiastic and fresh eyes on the cases.

  So my dad and aunt went to school with and were friends with the kids that were killed back in the 60’s. My aunt never stopped writing letters protesting his initial release, then continued them when talks of overturning his second death sentence happened. He should have never had the chance to kill again.

  The fact that people with first-time drug offenses like possession not even distribution could have life sentences that haven't been commuted yet and this serial killer was released decades ago and was a proven repeat offender....

  While I do not doubt that this woman is the actual killer, there is no evidence linking her to the crime. No DNA, no weapon, no finger prints. There isn&apos;t even an eye witness . Without these things all you have is a petty woman bragging she may have done something horrible. They need to look at who canceled to do the job that night. Wasn&apos;t Cynthia filling in for someone? Either the bullets were really meant for that person or that person set her up.

  I agree with Paul, what the students did was great work with very limited material. I also agree with the Grand Jury, there was not enough there to charge Janie with this crime. There was no physical evidence connecting her to Cynthia that night. There was no gun recovered. The only evidence was the lie detector tests, and they are not admissible, even to the Grand Jury, so it is likely they never reviewed them. All they had was Janie&apos;s boasts, which could have been just things she said to wind people up. That being said, I think she did it. I think she got away with it because of the failure of the police to find the body and process the evidence early enough, and to press Janie at the time. But as Paul said, some closure is better than none.

  You should look into the case of Mary Teresa Simpson. She went missing when she was 12 in 1964 and was found murdered. Her case was recently solved by university students.

  You should look into having your voice used in the book reading apps! You put so much feeling in your voice. It’s nice to listen to someone who puts emotions in their voice and you articulate so well that I can understand you on your podcast and your YouTube videos.
