  Dont forget the Australians participation in the Battle of the Somme, we have a memorial park and cemetary at Villers Bretonneux and the Sir John Monash Centre, ( Australian General), outside Armiens in the north of France

  Billie Hughes is the great character that was missed. Really funny guy, in fed parliament for 50 years, could swear in welsh to Lloyd George. Joke about png at Versailles is very funny.

  Fadden was PM for 40 days and 40 nights. You missed Forde who was PM for 8 days between Curtin and Chiefly. (He was also Minister of Defence in WWII. His life is worth a whole a whole podcast.)

  I went to Monash University in Melbourne in the late 70’s. One of the tallest ( and ugliest 😂) buildings was known by students (and probably lecturers) as the Ming Wing.. a reference to Menzies. Probably a reference completely lost on current students.<br>And not all of us have a broad nasal Aussie accent. I still get asked ( by non Brits) if I’m English😮

  Churchill wouldn’t let Australian troops come home from uk Europe to defend us when we were being invaded! We probably appeared ‘yellow’ because we wouldn’t follow orders from useless uk officers to be canon fodder. We fought to have Australian generals like John Monash to lead us.

  Australia were attacked over 100 times by Japan - people think Darwin was only bombed once. Curtin was pivotal in shifting Australia&apos;s focus.
