I just stayed at Keeper’s Cottage with my 3 cousins and it was enchanting! 2 bed 21/2 baths, we didn’t want to leave! The cottage renovation looks nothing like this video. Completely finished. Bravo!

Malcolm is truly a gem! Juli and Malcolm together create beautiful places. Luke makes me smile. You all are lovely people.

Perhaps Julie's one of the hardest working Americans married to a Brit living in the United Kingdom ever seen? America sends warm greeting to Julie and her family for a prosperous new year.

I think you both need to stay in your guest cottages and rooms at least once. It would be a nice staycation for you both ❤

I found your channels about a month ago and I have literally binged watched them everyday for the last month! I am a 6 time left leg amputee with multiple chronic illnesses and prior to losing my leg I used to do renovations and restore furniture. Being able to watch you and your family do this has brought me SO much joy. As an avid history nerd your videos "scratch that itch" that comes with having a passion for both topics and physically being stopped due to health issues. Thank you so much for your efforts and sharing those efforts with us. This American Amputee (haha, see what I did there) is here to stay. ❤

Julie you can be totally ruthless cutting back the wall growth to the ground, believe me it will grow back next season then you can train it to grow to a manageable height.

Greetings from across the pond. Here in the US, the molding at the top of the wall is called: crown molding or cornice. Molding 3 to four feet on the wall is called chair rail, and at the bottom of the wall is base board . The trim around door is called door casing, door trim, or architrave molding . The smaller trim on the wall for picture is picture molding or box trim or picture rail. If the wall is covered with 3 to four feet high wood, the wood is called: wainscoting the trim on top is chair rail. I hope this helps

Julie please wear a mask while stripping the carpets because of all the dust, we don’t want you to inhale gross stuff 😷😷😷

Julie is truly an inspiration . I love the way she has embraced the British culture, while still retaining her American one. She has worked tirelessly to restore Mapperton and always tackles any project with enthusiasm and determination. I think another American married to a member of The Royal family could take a leaf out of her book and then would endear herself to the British public rather than alienate herself. ❤

25:57 omg, I love Julie's enthusiasm. She's never seen that before??? My first husband flooded our apartment & the library beneath our apartment trying to drain our waterbed back in 93 doing this. He sucked on the hose and nothing came out, so he just left, without disconnecting it and left for the day.

We lived in a historic building, above the public library in our hometown for $350/month. They called me at work to tell me water was coming through the ceiling in the middle of the day and I wanted to die. They ended up charging me a few hundred dollars for repairs but I know it cost more. Maybe insurance helped. It's now owned by a young couple who are turning it into a restaurant. I visited last summer.
