  Money only holds value when your own sweat and blood is poured into it. When you don’t work for it, you don’t appreciate it, simple. No wonder it dwindled away to nothing.

  Elvis is the prime example of willful ignorance in business finances. He was worth far more than he was getting paid and died with. He sold his catalogue to RCA for pennies on the dollar compared to what they made in the future. Tom Parker robbed him blind, he gave way too much money away to people who didn’t deserve it and he paid massive amounts of money on prescription drugs. So it was easy to feed his big head while you’re in his pockets. While he was just blessed to be where he was and most likely just didn’t care, he just wanted to have a good time and knew in his mind that all that will take care of itself. For such a loved man no one was looking after his future. He was too much of a cult leader than an actual friend. People just assumed Elvis would always be taken cared of. Probably so, but he could have had what he actually deserved not what some corporate music executives think he is. Obviously had he not died and got back healthy he could have made all that back and then some with a real comeback tour. I’m sure had he lived into his 80’s he’d be a billionaire right along Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen but higher.

  Elvis father was executor and a poor businessman but made the smartest business decision of his life and gave the executorship to Priscilla.

  The" inheritance" was a pittance compared to what Elvis generated. Elvis foolishly  sold to R.C.A all his music catalog rights for 20 million before he passed. Even more incredible was that Col. Tom Parker received half that amount. R.C.A made billions off that 20 million dollar investment.  Kudo's to Pricilla for licensing the Elvis image  and making Graceland a money making enterprise.
