  According to the book child bride (of which she was not aged 21) she was having her own affairs at the same time. Priscilla's parents wanted the marriage...Elvis didn't want to marry her. Priscilla was no innocent angel, and you only get her side of the story. She wasn't innocent when she met Elvis. There's a history that has been silenced by her, threatening Cory Grant from speaking up about her. She was no angel.Two sides every story.

  And now for some actual facts:<br>The Beaulieus were a clan with a plan. Beaulieu&apos;s mother, Ann Iversen, told young Priszilla that &quot;knowing Elvis was the opportunity of a lifetime&quot; (Priscilla quoting her mother in a Ladies Home Journal interview, 1973). <br>Priscilla Ann WAGNER, daughter of master schemer Anna Lillian Iversen and James Frederick Wagner, who was killed November 3, 1945, when Priscilla was 6 months old, at the age of 24. Anna Iversen-Wagner married Paul Beaulieu on September 11, 1948, when she was 22 and he was 23. Beaulieu adopted Priscilla (then 3.5 years old). <br> <br>Elvis returned to the US on March 2, 1960 to his girlfriend Anita Wood (1957-1962), while Beaulieu and her family remained in Germany. There she terrorized her mother and stepfather because she had only recently found out he was not her biological father. She lied about her home situation begging Elvis to save her by letting her come over and she made family life in Germany for her parents and half-siblings hell. <br> <br>Beaulieu pursued Elvis, sending him risqué photos of herself (facilitated by her parents!). Her mother and stepfather played a questionable role in the development of Beaulieu&apos;s long-distance &quot;affair&quot; with Elvis that reeks of ulterior motives. If they&apos;d really been worried or incensed and believed that all the initiative came from Presley, they could have stopped it right then and there. Yet, they didn&apos;t; they played along. <br>They first allowed her to visit Elvis in the US when she was 16. <br>More than a year passed until her next visit at 17. <br>Beaulieu did not move to Memphis until two months before she turned 18 when she moved in with Elvis&apos; father Vernon and stepmother Dee. <br> <br>It is total nonsense that many claim that she &quot;lived with Elvis since she was 14&quot;. BEAULIEU AND ELVIS WEREN&apos;T EVEN ON THE SAME CONTINENT FOR THE BETTER PART OF 3 YEARS. If anybody “groomed” her to be with an “older” man, it was her parents. <br> <br>During the years before their marriage, Elvis was away from Memphis a lot, making 3 movies a year in Hollywood or locations such as Hawaii and having multiple affairs with co-stars. Beaulieu wasn&apos;t locked in the basement, shackled to a wall: she was free to get a flight out of there, back to her parents. But that wasn&apos;t the plan. <br>The plan was to let her become Mrs. Presley, with all the privileges that came with it for her AND her family. <br>She knew Elvis could not be faithful to whomever he was dating at the time long before she and Elvis started dating, so playing the victim later is utter nonsense. <br> <br>According to Beaulieu, Elvis had promised to marry her when she was 21. But as her 22nd birthday was approaching and Elvis still had not kept his word, Beaulieu, her parents, and the colonel (Tom Parker) visited Elvis on a movie set. The most logical thing that happened is that a threat was made that they would go public about Elvis &quot;dating&quot; a minor while in his twenties if he would not keep his promise to marry her. After all: Jerry Lee Lewis had gone through a scandal that people might be reminded of if the Beaulieus had gone public: Jerry Lee Lewis had married his 13-year-old cousin! <br> <br>Then everything escalated and a quick wedding ceremony was arranged on May 1, 1967 (23 days before Beaulieu&apos;s 22nd birthday) in Las Vegas. The whole ceremony took just 8 minutes followed by a press conference. You can hear what Elvis told about the wedding in the recording of the last phone conversation Red West had with him before he died &quot;That wedding thing, that wedding thing. It was in there over and done with so quick. Beaulieu and Elvis effectively lived their lives apart as early as 6 weeks after Lisa was born when Beaulieu began an affair with her dance instructor. During the taping of the 1968 Singer Special (later redubbed the 1968 Comeback Special) Elvis had an affair with Susan Henning, while Beaulieu attended some of the tapings with her lover (the dance instructor). <br> <br>By 1969, after Elvis had finished his movie contracts and had begun not only his residency at The International Hotel in Las Vegas, but also his touring around the USA, he was away from Memphis an average of 150 - 200 days a year. He bought a mansion for his family, at 144 Monovale Drive in Holmby Hills/California which became Beaulieu&apos;s residence while Elvis - in between tours - preferred to stay at his Hillcrest Rd, Beverly Hills house. Their marriage was over in 1969 and they increasingly lived separate lives. <br> <br>They did try to get back closer together in 1970, for the sake of Lisa Marie, but that failed. By then, Beaulieu had started taking karate lessons at Ed Parker&apos;s karate studio and subsequently met Mike Stone, whom she&apos;d first seen during a karate tournament in 1968, and soon began an affair with him. <br> <br>By late 1971, Beaulieu, Lisa Marie and Stone (who had left his pregnant wife and child) shared an apartment in Belmont Shore and gossip rags were beginning to pick up on the break-up between Beaulieu and Elvis. The separation was effective as of shortly before Elvis&apos; 37th birthday, January 8, 1972. Elvis was livid and he moved on: started dating Linda Thompson in the summer of 1972. <br>In August of 1972, a property settlement agreement was filed and he filed for divorce ON HIS 38TH BIRTHDAY, Jan. 8, 1973. The divorce was finalized on Oct. 9, 1973, FIFTY YEARS AGO IN 2023. <br> <br>In interviews between the divorce and Elvis&apos; death, Beaulieu described him as a has-been loser, absent/bad father and husband and adamantly stated she wanted to be known as Priscilla Beaulieu, to be her own person and that she was not Elvis Presley&apos;s property. In a 1973 interview with Ladies Home Journal she literally stated that there was &quot;no possibility of a reconciliation with Elvis&quot;. <br>After his death, she claimed that they had agreed to get back together when he was 50 and she was 40 and that he was the love of her life. She also started claiming that she and Elvis remained friends until his death. That was another lie; just listen to what his cousin Billy Smith tells about that, or what his dad, Vernon, wrote about that in a letter that has been made public. <br> <br>Elvis did not mention this opportunist in his will AT ALL. Not as his ex-spouse, not as the mother/guardian of his only child Lisa Marie and certainly not by name. <br> <br>After the divorce, and after Mike Stone, Beaulieu had multiple (live-in) relationships boyfriends. She and Marco Garibaldi were together for 21 years (1984-2006) and had their son, Navarone, in 1987. She never married Garibaldi (although in a recent court case against her one of the pieces of evidence contains a quote by her son that Beaulieu and Garibaldi &quot;secretely married&quot;). However, she had a much longer relationship with him than she&apos;d had with Elvis. <br> <br>People who believe all the fantasy tales Beaulieu tells gloss over the tons of inconsistencies that have arisen as time moved on and she started changing her narrative, often contradicting supposed facts she told earlier. She&apos;s as glib as a used car salesperson because she can spin yarns like nobody, making those gullible people even believe her excuses for those contradictions. <br> <br>Those who believe Beaulieu and her family would have acted the same way and would have been equally tolerant of his behavior (extramarital affairs etc) if Elvis had remained a truck driver learning to be an electrician are beyond naive. The Beaulieus had dollar signs in their eyes when they pimped out their rebellious (step)daughter. People who are critical of Beaulieu are not in the least jealous of this opportunistic narcissist, nor do they hate her. They are simply disgusted by the fact that - more than 50 years after their divorce - she is still riding his coattails for her own benefit. That is sick and disgusting.

  If your truly interested..read Child Bride by Suzanne Finstad. The title is misleading, however, it will open your eyes about who Priscilla really is, along with her parents. They wanted Priscilla to be with Elvis, they encouraged it. <br>Elvis was at 25 a bit naive, she, Priscilla never was.

  All these stories always paint Priscilla as the victim.<br>She knew what she getting into! <br>She wasn&apos;t naive.<br>And she wasn&apos;t a prisoner at Graceland.<br>She had friends, money, a car, anything she wanted.<br>Elvis gave her everything!<br>Imagine having Elvis Presley as your husband and you have a young beautiful baby and you want and dream about another man. The dance instructor ..   People should understand that regardless of what anyone thinks of Priscilla, she filled a need that Elvis had, and it was strong enough to keep her around until it all fell apart. I think he loved her, &nbsp;but he was more in love with what he was trying to make her. We all know he could have any woman he wanted, but as a man, only certain ones meet those needs, and however she happened to get there, she got there and took full advantage.

  Hi James it is great you say you research there stories and spend a lot of time putting them together. But this story is solely referenced by Priscilla&apos;s memoir: &quot;Elvis and Me&quot; and loyal Elvis fans have concluded that her book was completely fabricated to show why she had to leave Elvis and Elvis fans even today will not forgive her. Where is Elvis&apos;s story, doesn&apos;t he deserve his defense. Priscilla can say and write anything she wants with no objections. Tells me, as an Elvis fan I need you to also know what Priscilla said in interviews as it changes this story completely. ( Firstly what was your marriage to Elvis like?) &quot; The four years of courtship was the best time of my whole life and the wedding was my best moment&quot;.(When Lisa Marie was born what did you tell your girlfriends at Graceland?.) &quot; It&apos;s more fun being single than married&quot;. So not only did Priscilla not understand love but what marriage meant in life. Marriage was only cruel because Priscilla cared only about herself not Elvis and more importantly not about Elvis&apos;s only precious daughter Lisa Marie.

  she knew what she was getting into because she had the opportunity to explore his living habits a<br>nd &nbsp;his surroundings when she went to live with him in Graceland for the Xmas holidays &nbsp;before they got married so why is she complaining about Elvis that transformed her into someone else she cld have walked away but she stayed on and this ongoing story about her innocence and her losing her teenage yrs is all nonsense she enjoyed her life before she met Elvis she had so many relationships and after Elvis left Germany as well 14 yr old girls don&apos;t do what she did Elvis was no Angel but she cld have left him alone maybe he wld have gotten tired of being with so many women at 40 then settled down she messed up his whole life even conceiving I don&apos;t think he was ready to be a father but he was a devoted father I guess because Lisa was his flesh and blood now she is a wealthy woman because of Elvis&apos;s money and name she must stop playing the victim she enjoyed every bit of &nbsp;the luxury while Elvis was alive and still is ,<br>at 81 she found someone else much younger than her geewiz can this woman just retire and settle down 😮
