  God, the Morrison missing &quot;Foxy&quot; shining the light back hits so hard. I don&apos;t think we are intended to believe that there is an actual Foxy, but rather it&apos;s the fact that Morrison refuses to wait, even just to see if there is one left. Morrison, at the end of the story, has lost hope, and is projecting his own darkness and resentment onto Animal man. I think it&apos;s very poignant that Morrison, the writer, doesn&apos;t let himself find Foxy again, but lets the reader. I think we are intended to see ourselves in that frame. Morrison is reminding us that if we wait, if we are patient, if we are kind, then we will see that light again. Morrison reminds us that these characters ultimately are &quot;real,&quot; and their stories are representations of the many similitudes they share with our stories. Animal man has his family ripped away from him, Animal man faces the choice between nihilism or optimism, Animal man has a talk with a god that seems indifferent to his struggles. <br>Animal man fought to get a happy ending. Animal man deserved one. We all do.

  The immediate disappointment that I got when I realized that this wasn&apos;t a Mullet-Man video about Booster Gold from simply glancing at the thumbnail, only to be followed up by the immediate excitement when I also realized that this is actually a Mullet-Man video about Animal Man.

  My favorite DC character, he’s great because every writer that uses him treats him as thought experiment instead of getting hung up on standard heroics.
