The five days to create the final show is absolutely criminal

The biggest problem was the finale. Imagine what Ethan/Utica could have done with 2 months.

The most unforgivable part of Utica’s storyline, combined with the mental torture & all the other points that you mentioned was Christian telling her to completely change her designs every week. The worst time was during the finale where she has to pivot TWICE in 5 days. She got carpal tunnel syndrome from the experience. This was literally torture.

Considering that they told Ethan that they were a young Alexander McQueen off camera & then went on to treat them like that is disgraceful.

I was a fan of PR & was one of the first people who expressed my concern about Tim’s omission on the PR reddit - months before it started airing.

I’m a Music Director and have worked for 30 years with both drag queens and with designers at MBFW. When they told Belania that she had to modify her outfit for a sick model down to half its size - that was the final straw of credibility for me. That would literally NEVER happen in real life.

Inviting Utica on to their weird drag race rebrand season just to use her for veiws and then robbing her the entire season was so icky. Not to mention them asking her to be in drag that one ep and then critiqueing her for it "Ethan should have been here not Utica"

Ohh girl so many grievances! One of my biggest problems is how LITTLE they focus on the fashion. I MISS when workroom footage would be surrounded by zipper malfunctions, fabric manipulation, draping, hem lines, etc. And then on the runway, the judges bringing the outfits down to touch the fabrics, see the construction and sewing skills. All that went out the window and now we got workroom "drama" surrounded by personality issues and title card cuteness/soundbites. Then the runway is judging the personalities of the contestants.

And LET ME TELL YOU I watched a lot of project runway, and their critiques always felt grounded and, sure a little mean, but it's about the FASHION. This season? .....that soccer ball dress would never had won. And Veejay would've heard how uninventive and cheap it was to use a knit wool to make a dress for the finale....we've literally heard it in previous seasons how the fabric really speaks volumes and the fabric choices this season were a major side eye. I could go ON but I won't, I'll just end it by saying this was the least PR season I have ever seen and I hope they improve. New season has been announced so buckle up!

The finale felt very underwhelming. What happened to letting them go back home to do their collection?
Also, yes on how the elimination was done, the judging was done, so many one day and group challenges and just yeah - what was with this season? It's like everyone was forced to be mean and torn down.

12:34 I actually had more issues with Christian than Law, I don't think Christian is a good mentor. He pushed his sensitivities onto contestants too much vs just focusing on craftsmanship, many times we saw him make designers second guess their project just for that advice to backfire on the judges panel. Hes not objective enough to be effective mentor, and he is successful commercially but also often called out by fashion critics for riding the line of tacky and questionable styling choices, if it wasn't for that fact I maybe would've suspected bit of production planted sabotage through him. But no, he geniuenly has had time adapting to other creators vision, which imho impairs his ability to provide good advice.
If anything he should've swapped places with Law, I feel like he was way more constructive on RPDR, this was even brought up during one of Roscoes watch parties(which makes me think issues I had with him were actually producers direction for him, where they just wanted Legendary Roach without realising that shows aura is completely diffrent than PR and thus will not read as well), I think him deploying his styling knowlege would compliment the sewing and design talents of contestants quite well.
I still miss Tim Gunn but I always thought he was very much looking after contestants above all else and I have suspicion that this is why the production doesn't him back, cause he would get in the way of the drama.

If the producers don't care to give a budget to let the final 3 or 4 contestants go to NY Fashion Week like in past seasons, then cancel the show for good.

I agree. This season was the worst. I have watched all the seasons and it is not the same at all. The way they treated Utica was awful. They told him to change designs constantly and set him up for failure. The whole season felt very rushed too with all the one day challenges.

Every episode felt like a design challenge in drag race and the fact that I saw better looks on drag race than PR this year tells me everything I need to know about the direction of this series

You hit the nail on the head. It's like "Shrinkflation" on television. Reducing the product size, but keeping the same price and expecting regular customers not to notice
