When he told his wife that things they did in the 60’s were they brought guns to school. I went to high school in the mid to late 80’s and a lot of guys had guns hanging in the back window of their truck. It was no big deal. Nobody ever thought what if somebody brought their gun inside and started shooting.

This iconic film has a magnificent, perfect music soundtrack by jazz legend Herbie Hancock! A tone poem evoking urban decay and violence…

Kersey's daughter was super sheltered. She was raised in a bubble, rich, pampered. She had no conception of evil. Then those teens attack her, r*pe her, kill her mom. Her mind is completely unable to process what happened since the event doesn't fit into her framework of how the world is supposed to work. That's my read on it.

I believe that it was 1973 and Jeff Goldblum"s first appearance in a movie. Charles Bronson was an architect in these movies.

Some schools even had shooting clubs for the kids. Like a photography class.

All 5 Death Wish movies with Charles Bronson are good. The first movie shows him becoming a vigilante. With each movie installment, you see him turning into a professional vigilante. I think you will absolutely love 3 (it's wild) and 4 has a good storyline. 2 is also good but the 5th is just ok. Please continue with this franchise.

He was a man of his time. You don’t cry, show pain, or emotion. Plus there was some corrupt law enforcement and then all the laws preventing holding criminals accountable. Arkansas is open carry and here the gun culture is pretty well the same as the 80’s

The movie was prophetic. A few years(1984) after the movie was released, Bernard Goetz shot several muggers on a subway car, and then disappeared for a few weeks before turning himself in. At the time it was reported crime plummeted, subway crime dropped about 10%.

I saw “Death Wish” in the movie theater when I was a young teen. It was awesome back then.

My favorite Charles Bronson movie is Death Hunt. Based on a true event. Starring Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson

Death Wish 2 has always been my favorite, while my wife likes part 3 the best. Any time Charles Bronson is shooting bad guys, I'm down for it.

If y'all like movies about shooting scumbag bad guys, watch Ms. 45 (1981). It takes place on the same NY streets.
