  I met Bob Probert 6 months before he passed. Bob was standing over in the corner by himself after an Old Timers game I put out some cards and 8x10s I said Mr Probert would you be able to sign some items for me? Mr Probert said sure no problem Thanks for remembering me. I said Thanks and He said No Thank You so quiet and unassuming that whole interaction meant a lot to me. RIP Big Bob

  Kocur (and Probie) were gods here, still are. Those 2 gave Yzerman more room to do his thing, and i'm sure he appreciated it. Thank you 24/26.

  Joey Kocur: <br><br>“Now, looking back, in my opinion, Bob Probert was the best enforcer of all time. Extremely talented. He had great hands around the net. Shoot, the one year he went to the All Star Game, he had 29 goals and 398 penalty minutes, or something like that.<br><br>But, like I said, he didn’t get mad that very often, either. He fought to make a living. Once in a while, when he got mad, you could really see it. He was just awesome to be around.<br><br>I rode shotgun with him, and I felt safe going into ANY arena, even in places like Chicago and St. Louis. St. Louis always had a good, tough team, but as long as I had Bobby riding shotgun with me, I felt everything would be okay.<br><br>I put him at Number One. His fights… he was a slow starter in most of his fights and he’d probably get hit a few times. But if the fight went past thirty seconds, the other guy was in big trouble, because Probie didn’t tire out. I don’t know how, but he could go forever. <br><br>I respected him. I went to the Hall of Fame last year after some Hall of Fame game. I said that Bob Probert was the best at what he did, so why isn’t he in the Hall of Fame? I feel that’s something that should be addressed.”

  Great episode...Well done, John Scott....I believe the biggest reason that Bob Probert and Joey Kocur were so intimidating is that they were also good players....We were long time Red Wing season ticket holders and I always remember my brother telling me that during Sergei Federov&apos;s rookie year, they played in Vancouver early in the season and the Canucks couldn&apos;t keep up with Federov. They were then running him after the whistle, hitting him with face washes, sucker punching him etc....About two weeks later, Vancouver came to the Joe (where the Wings had the last change) and the starting lineup was announced as....Center, Sergei Federov, Left Wing, Bob Probert, Right Wing Joe Kocur...My brother said very tongue in cheek, &quot;It was amazing, none of the Canucks went near Federov all night.&quot;

  Great interview! Have been a lifelong Blackhawks fan, but always loved Joey Kocur. If there&apos;s a &quot;Mount Rushmore&quot; of NHL badasses, Joey Kocur is on it with Probie, without question.

  I&apos;ve been to exactly 1 NFL game... Bears vs Lions on Monday night at Ford Field in 2011. &nbsp; My best friend bought some tickets on a whim and invited me. &nbsp;We were seated in the 4th row, on the 40 yard line... The aisle seat next to me was empty until shortly after kickoff, when Mr. Kocur came down and took his seat. &nbsp;I realized who he was after noticing a huge stanley cup ring on his cinder block of a hand... I left him alone for as long as I could, but I eventually couldn&apos;t contain myself... &nbsp;&quot;Mr. Kocur, could I get a picture?&quot;<br><br>He replied, &quot;That&apos;s all you want? Just a picture? &nbsp;How about a beer and some conversation during the game?&quot;<br><br>That&apos;s right, I watched the Lions beat the Bears while sharing a beer and great conversation with Mr. Kocur!<br><br>I&apos;ll never forget that... I may never go to another NFL game, just because I can&apos;t top that one.

  Glad to hear Joe is doing well. What an intimidating player, I wish he never left Detroit and was ecstatic when he came back and won. Joe Kocur is a legend.

  KOCUR was more &nbsp;than a fighter, earlier in his &nbsp;career. Great &nbsp;checker .very &nbsp;good &nbsp;defensive
