The sad thing is that many of our beloved EO Christians still believe that we are Monophysites and St. Cyril was a Dyophysite. May this video help them truly know our position.

Would not the soul and body analogy be compatible with how the Chalcedonians understand christ being in twi natures. <br>That being, the soul and body are united in one human person, but are two distinct things that you can speak of and count, just as chalcedon speaks of christ having two natures united in one person (natures that can still be distinguished)?

There is still confusion somewhere when explaining miaphysite chistology and diophysite chistology, because i notice ppl are using some of the same analogies to prove both sides. So somewhere the actual difference is stiil being missed when trying to explain the whole situation.

The problem is that miaphysite is not a correctly formed Greek word and it is a very young creation. I'm 'koine orthodox' but very sympathetic to OOs. We can use real, literate Greek words like Monophysite as an umbrella term for eutychianism and the distinct OO Christology. See father Dammick's talk with Dr Noble on antiochian history

St Cyril meant the word miaphysis as "one subject". You mean it as one essence. You can quote the word, but you define it differently.
