  When you said it was followed up by Bendis era Avengers, it became clear why no one talks about it. Bendis era Avengers is insanely influential.

  I love this avengers run. Geoff Johns was my introduction to superhero comics with his green lantern series. And my first taste of marvel was the geoff Johns avengers collection. I genuinely think red zone might be the greatest captain America/ red skull arc I've ever read. It's a little contrived, but it's genuinely haunting and really shows Cap's humanity, something ultimate universe was so terrible at

  Roger Stern and John Buscema had an amazing run on Avengers. Johns also had a great run on the JSA book with David S. Goyer.

  I read this run a while ago and remember finding it solid, but not my favourite, but I think your contextualization of it and the time it was made has really given me a stronger appreciation. Especially Red Zone. That’s genuinely one of the most underrated Avengers stories. Great to see it got at least a little bit of appreciation in Avengers EMH’s adaptation of it

  Johns run was solid but it's sandwiched between 2 of the biggest Avengers runs of modern/post-modern era... Busiek Avengers and Brian Michael Bendis New Avengers. There weren't as many MAJOR moves happening in Johns runs compared to other writers like Hickman, Bendis, Busiek.

  I think Falcon mentioning he’s working on the reconstruction of the world trade centre is fine. <br><br>Might be dated but it’s a nice sentiment not a bad one. Fine to mention it in fiction.

  Oh wow I didn&apos;t expect to see this Avengers run focus a lot on Jack of Hearts and She-Hulk. I actually love both characters because of what Rainbow Rowell did with the two of them in her She-Hulk run from a few years ago. This video definitely help give me more interest in reading Johns&apos; Avengers now
