If this resonates, I’d love to know — what have you been putting off?

Great video, I started running at 35 to help me quit drinking alcohol. 7 years later I haven’t had a drink and haven’t stopped running!

Great video. I started running in June 2025, and I'm basically doing it for the same reasons as you. I want my kids to see me as strong and capable for as long as possible, and I want them to learn to do hard things as well. I signed up for my 1st 100 miler that will take place in October 2026. I decided on this valentine's day. I have from now until then to train. I was 54 when I started and now I'm 55. I retire June 1st and I'm going to spend 8 weeks in the Smokey Mountains this summer. It's my retirement plan!!! Great job; you should be super proud!

I'm 75. I started running at after I quit smoking. Ran marathons too. Often ran a couple of 100 mi before they were popular in the '70s. Now at 75 after a badly broken ankle at 45. I'm very happy to walk an hour a day. I still have a heart rate of 44. After all these years a life of effort is worth it.

The only way out is through…Watching my son battle cancer for the past six months, I’ve realized those aren’t just words — they are the only way we survive. Inspired by him, I’ve signed up for my first 100-miler this December. Adding this video to my collection of fuel to get there.

At 38 years old, I went to the police academy. 50lbs overweight and at an extreme low. I decided to pursue my dream. When I attempted the Obstacle course the first time, I tore my ACL, “mangled” my meniscus, and sprained my MCL. I battled through for the remaining 14 weeks and finished well, passing the final PT test and embarking on my new career in law enforcement.
Now I work full time as police officer and I love it.
I just signed up for my first 25k trail race. I hate running. My ACL and meniscus is still torn up. But I know I need to continue pushing the limits. I’m so thankful God has given me a body that still works and still gives me the option to push it hard to these limits. Your story was extremely inspiring to me. Thank you for sharing

Excuse my profanity but fucking awesome. You are a real inspiration. I have been making every excuse possible lately not to go for a run and you just wiped out my pathetic excuses. To do what you did in two years is amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. God bless and best wishes to you and your family for the future.

My son, 20yo, asked me last summer: ”dad, do you want to die young?” No, I said. ”Well then, should you do something about it?” I was 100kg at 175cm, not really exercising. Now, 9 months later, I have lost 20kg and I am either running and going to the gym every day. I just turned 52 and havent felt this good in years. Thanks, son!
