  I&apos;m glad your video popped up! You the man! I&apos;ve been stressing about my compensator now for years because I&apos;ve been having the issue but don&apos;t have $500 to just buy a new compensator so this is a stress relief thank you I&apos;ll fix mine myself because of your video.

  This video really drew me in like an episode of one of my favorite shows. I couldn’t wait to see if that was the problem and was happy to see that I t was fixed.<br>I’ve never had or ridden a motorcycle before but when I get a Harley, next season, I feel like if I had this problem I could confidently fix this issue myself. Probably one of the best instructional videos I’ve ever seen. Easy to follow and informative. Thanks for all your efforts.

  Damn. &nbsp;I wish you had posted this 7 years ago. &nbsp;The compensator in my 2010 Road King gave up when I was 800 miles from home. &nbsp;I put in the $450 Screamin Eagle upgrade replacement compensator with the heavy duty spring pack and oil diverter. &nbsp;Simply replacing the springs would have been much cheaper/easier.<br>I would note that it is recommended to not reuse the compensator bolt as it stretches when torqued to that 150 lb/ft. &nbsp;It&apos;s an $8 insurance policy.<br>Also, use the zip tie to keep the chain tensioner from opening before you remove it.

  This was good to know! I would have thought that the starter was going out and replaced that, I wouldn’t have thought about the spring pack behind the compensator. I have a 2021 softail standard and would guess that this could happen on my bike to theoretically? Awesome video sir, I appreciate the knowledge you gave 100%

  I&apos;ve looked at some of the comments on here. &nbsp;And my opinion is when you take the bolts out and you don&apos;t know where they go back. &nbsp;Don&apos;t mess with it. &nbsp;Give it to William. &nbsp;His knowledge will save you a lot of money.

  I just changed my springs on 07 SG compensator using 06 spring pack like you did. <br>Since I was in there, went ahead and replaced the comp with an eBay replacement. (Hope I’m not disappointed, but seemed ok).<br>I replaced the bolt, it was the hardest thing to find. The replacement comp didn’t come with the big washer or the bolt. I reused the washer and found replacement bolt by luck- not a lot out there for the application. Maybe a bolt supply could supply an equivalent, but luckily I didn’t need to find out.<br>Your video was a huge help and you’re the only one on YouTube that I’ve seen do it like this. Everyone else is upgrading to SE, but I wanted to go cheaper and faster. If I keep the bike, I’ll eventually upgrade it again to SE or another brand.<br>Lots of folk I spoke to about this didn’t know it could be done since direct replacement springs aren’t available for the 07 and up- &nbsp;thanks again
