I Found the Abandoned Tracks Behind the Hydro Majestic Hotel

The Hydro Majestic is one of the most famous hotels in the Blue Mountains, but there’s a much older story hidden in the bush below it. More than a century ago, an extensive network of walking tracks was developed around Medlow Bath, with stone steps, walls, lookouts, caves, pools and other features built into the cliffs above the Megalong Valley. In this video, I follow some of those historic Hydro Majestic walking tracks, starting near the hotel and descending into the bush along the Sunbath Track, Colosseum Track and Wonderland Track. Along the way, I look at the people behind the original track network, how it developed, and what remains today.
