  It seems I’ve made a mistake about the mega mushroom shrinking after you get hit by lightning! That was only a thing in Wii and I must’ve either confused it or had seen the item conveniently run out right when the shock occurred. Either way my bad but it doesn’t change the placement, just makes it even better!

  I'm really glad they added the Evil Banana in this game. The regular Banana was too innocent and carefree for a dark and twisted guy like me... 👿🖤

  If Piranha Plant actually got to become playable even after previously existing as an item, then it's so unfair that Blooper didn't get the same treatment too!

  Kamek has had an insane ride in Mario Kart. From being scrapped from Mario Kart 64 to being added as a character over 20 years later, and then being turned into an item with one of the worst mechanics in the entire series.

  The only nerf the Mega Mushroom got that really hurts was losing the Music it played while being used, now it doesn't play anything and it isn't the same anymore

  I find it funny how Piranha Plant went from being an item to a playable character while Kamek got the opposite treatment. Though, I wish Kamek was still a playable character!

  I remember this one thing that keeps happening to me in Mario Kart games. My biggest memory of it is on Electrodrome, where I was in first, got an item box and scored a Super Horn. A little while later, a blue shell came near the finish line on the last lap, but I still had my Super Horn. So I was ready to use my sound horn, but then a boo thought &nbsp;&quot;It would be so funny&quot; So then someone passed me, but I miraculously had a green shell I could use to maybe snag back my position, so I lined it up perfectly. Then lightning striked and took away my green shell. That is quite possibly the worst 3rd place I&apos;ve ever had.

  Another often overlooked benefit of the Star compared to all other offroad items is that it is the only one (along with the single mushroom) that instantly frees up your item slot when used, allowing you to grab another 2 items to smuggle with you towards the front. for triple mushroom, golden mushroom, bullet bill, mega mushroom and boo, you can only smuggle one item with you as the offroad item takes up your slots until it runs out
