  I think the whole &quot;ODSTs hate Spartans&quot; thing was so overblown. It was mainly Major Silva who had beef with the Chief in particular because he killed ODSTs under his command several years ago. One guy&apos;s grudge didn&apos;t carry over to a whole section of the UNSC.

  the war by the point of halo CE was going so unbelievably badly. I highly doubt ANY ODST would ever NOT regard the master chief as a literal saint.

  Let&apos;s also not pretend that lore can also just be bad. If it&apos;s in the books it&apos;s somehow this thing you can&apos;t criticize because it&apos;s canon. Some lore and the downstream effects are just shitty and should be taken out or ignored

  &quot;ODSTS hate Spartans in the lore&quot; <br><br>In the lore, Sgt. Johnson was still a Staff Sergeant. 343 doesn&apos;t care about pre established lore enough that basic details from the original trilogy continue to elude them. Xperia is using a coincidence to excuse bad writing.
