  As an adult, I look back and realize the amount of work (almost exploitation) and the little free time these teenagers/young adults had. It’s extremely sad. I didn’t need 5 albums in 5 years, nor long world tours without rest, nor the TV shows. I just wanted them to be happy (as happy as they made me), and to have a real and lasting friendship. I’m so sorry if, as a fan, I unconsciously contributed to this dynamic that may have hurt them. I just hope they are happy wherever life takes them. Liam, rest in peace.

  I went to an all girls high school and will never forget the day Zayn left 1D. Girls were crying in class and the hallway w teachers comforting them. Half of my afternoon classes were almost empty because girls left early. It was such a core memory.
