Sadly a 16 year old cheerleader died from drinking so many energy drinks per day. She wanted to be able to keep up with her social life, grades, cheerleading, etc. She was drinking 2 to 3 Alani nu energy drinks a day. Her parents filled a lawsuit against the drink company, But I mean her parents failed to intervene with her drinking so many a day. They bought her the energy drinks. They saw what was happening. It was really sad.

actually, in Poland we had such a big problem with teenagers being addicted to energy drinks, they banned them for people under 18. Most of the teenagers were at least 14 though, not fcking 8 😭

So, I used to teach elementary education. My last year, I taught 1st graders, and there was one, really pleasant and respectful, but with the energy reserve of a Looney Tunes character, so I could seldom get him to concentrate. One day, he arrived to class late with a Starbucks drink nearly the size of his head. When I spoke with his mom because wtf, she said "oh, he couldn't sleep last night and I didn't want him sleeping in class." The umph that I umphed. I told her that he needs a complete reset, cut him off on that trash immediately and put him to bed at a reasonable time. Parents have to stop giving kids what they want for the sake or assuming they can handle the same things as them. It's dangerous, it's disruptive to their growth, overwhelms them and deceives them into thinking this is healthy and normal.

Small tip for people, it is advised by medical professionals to not go over 400mg of Caffeine a day because it can cause damage to your heart. And that's for an adult.

I don’t have kids but just the idea of a child of mine posting themselves on a public social media account is honestly terrifying…

Hi Marc, when I was in 3rd grade I snuck a 5 Hour Energy from my mom and drank it at school. I don't remember anything except for the fact that they called my mom and asked her what was wrong with me

“Bullying is bad” yes that’s true, but no one is bullying the child? They’re wondering why the parents are allowing a child to do things they shouldn’t be doing. Nothing is complicated about this situation!

Telling a child that what they're doing is harmful and inappropriate and they shouldn't be online is not "bullying". I'm sure there were people being terrible to that girl, but I'd be willing to bet most of it was just concern for her. And the reason you have to be 13 to be on social media most of the time is because children don't have the emotional or social intelligence to navigate online spaces safely. I would argue most teenagers don't either, but that's a different conversation.

There's that cheerleader teen that died from pounding alanis. The parents tried to sue the company, I don’t believe in supporting companies in legal battles, but where were they when their child was slamming alanis daily.
