  I think Preston will be in Chapter 5, possibly in a situation like Poppy - trapped in a case or wandering around or even in the labs watching the Prototype at work

  Can&apos;t say I feel bad for Jessica, her whole life has been with the company, &nbsp;especially since she grew up as an orphan in playcare, but she still decided a career to be a scientist to experiment on the other orphans, she also showed no regret or remorse unless it was to convince the prototype to save herself which she failed horribly.

  I&apos;m pretty sure the Hour of Joy, overall, WAS the Prototype&apos;s idea. <br><br>Just because he wasn&apos;t the one to physically open the cages doesn&apos;t mean he didn&apos;t have a hand in the event. <br><br>He calls Preston his &quot;good friend&quot; and favors him over Jessica by turning him into a toy, rather than killing him. <br><br>The Prototype is dangerous, and Playtime Co knows this - see Chapter 2&apos;s tape, where he used a makeshift laser pointer to trick employees into his cell... and one never made it out, killed by the Prototype. <br><br>How, then, could any of the scientists &quot;be nice&quot; to a creature they know would tear them to shreds given the opportunity? <br><br>Simple - listening to him. <br><br>They can&apos;t show him favor physically, but they can listen to him. <br><br>The Prototype loves to talk when he has the right audience. <br><br>I think Preston was &quot;nice&quot; by listening to the Prototype, who used his guilt to coax him into letting the Bigger Bodies loose. <br><br>Jessica wasn&apos;t &quot;nice&quot; because she was dedicated to her job. She wasn&apos;t outwardly cruel like Harley Sawyer or Leith Pierre; she was long ago convinced they were doing important work and thus ignored empathy for the experiments. <br><br>(don&apos;t get me wrong, she was awful in other ways, that&apos;s just not what I&apos;m focusing on here)<br><br>She wasn&apos;t &quot;nice&quot; because she did as Playtime Co asked, and didn&apos;t listen if the Prototype tried to sway her. Of course he killed her - she was just as bad as the rest of the company. <br><br>Not Preston, though. <br><br>Preston was &quot;there for&quot; the Prototype, doing the physical and social work he couldn&apos;t do locked in his cell. That&apos;s why he spares him by turning him into a toy - a toy that knows its place. <br><br>Preston was worth sparing because he listened and obeyed. <br><br>That&apos;s what I gathered from this ARG, though. I could be wrong, but I think it holds up.

  That doctor believing that they were &quot;doing good work&quot; is truly the thing that is terrifying, not the bigger bodies themselves. Scientists who ignore their humanity, or the damage they cause in pursuit of glory are very dangerous people.

  I&apos;m pretty sure the reflection we &nbsp;saw on the scalpel on a previous teaser was Preston as &nbsp;the Cat Bee toy we see in the end, which might mean he&apos;s been unable to move since he&apos;s been transformed 👀

  I believe the prototype didn’t wanted to escape the factory with all the experiments because, it was dangerous and they would probably face against military forces, and… because he wanted to keep the factory to start his own experimentations for an unknown purpose yet-

  Funfact the fate of Preston is a homage to the fate of Ted in I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. Kinda makes me wonder if AM was a somewhat inspiration for The Prototype.

  Here’s my next question: why didn’t Preston’s wife ever contact the police &amp; report her husband missing or did she go to the factory looking for him &amp; was killed? No way other employees who were married or had loved ones didn’t know they were missing
