There is an artist I want to mention that seems to always go under most people's radar, though I find him to be one of the great illustrators of our time, and that is Mike Ploog. So there is my shout out to him.

Thank you for this series Patrick! Just a little correction, at the start you said that all the greats were included in the book yet none of your work is featured!

Thank you for doing these videos, Patrick. They are bittersweet. I was born in the early sixties, now witnessing my favourite illustrious cross the Rubicon one by one.

Nice to see Josh Kirby and Rodney Matthews mentioned - I'm lucky enough to have a few of their books and they are certainly underrated.

I must buy that book for my collection, it looks great and has a large size. As you stated in the video, it is so sad to see a number of these wonderful artists pass away. Very enjoyable watch i must say. 🖖

What a beautiful book. I went to Brisbane a couple of weeks back and spent time in the art gallery book shop. There are so many wonderful and expensive books I have the want for. I hit the old book shop down the road from me and got a Rockwell and a Leyendecker that I’ve been after. I guess what I’m saying is, it’s always good to look for books! They are pure inspiration. Thanks Patrick

You don't know Harry Clarke? A Dublin based Symbolist nd stained glass artist whose books and infamous Geneva Window are a bit adult for Youtube. Still very worth checking out.
