  I was getting Topps Chrome baseball hobby boxes for $200 all day. Now THAT was worth it. $1,000 is diabolical

  I am so happy that Tops is putting garbage in hobby boxes and putting goods in the blaster boxes because for us who don’t have a following and get paid from YouTube or Whatnot and those of us who don’t make a lot of money can only really afford to get the hangers and blasters, and we deserve a win for all the money that we have put towards these card companies and grading companies.

  I think for 350 it's an ok gamble for the ceiling, but 1.1k is crazy

  That hobby box for $1100 is what happens when false rarity goes bananas. I don’t think you got 30 cents on the dollar. Reminds me of Optic if you don’t hit a Downtown…

  One thing I will give Topps props for is some of the case hits. I was worried they wouldn’t have anything comparable to Downtowns, Kabooms, Color Blasts value or looks wise but, the Tecmo and Kajaii cards are amazing.

  I spent about $1k on retail between blasters and hangers and have just been on a heater, 4 autos, 5 numbered, 2 case hits, around $3k in cards, crazy stuff. Glad I passed on the $1k hobby, didn't want to risk it all for 1 auto. Nice comparison, man!

  You hit the nail on the head, the hobby/jumbo is made for a specific msrp, the higher the retail goes the harder and harder it is to recoup profit

  I hit a Egbuka Rookie Relics and a Jaxson Dart refractor today out of my two blasters I paid $40 each for. Sold the Dart for $125 on my ebay earlier. Was fun to rip the blasters for sure!

  Another reminder that if you’re looking to make $ in the hobby: Buying individual cards is like playing the stock market, and buying boxes is like buying a lottery ticket. (But of course, we all need the excitement of a lottery ticket from time to time. 🙂

  I got one value box, and it was decent. Mahomes refractor, saquon refractor, and judkins leather football. My Ray Lewis fortune 15 had surface damage, not valuable, but a note to help people know what they might expect. Lastly, my base cards were cut poorly and have bad edges, but the refractors and inserts were much more cleanly cut.
