The social connection is not applicable to everyone. Some people don't like to be around others, and it produces stress.

I'm 80, born in 1946 (the first year of the "Baby Boom") & suddenly realized that "old age" has finally caught up with us!
The 'Generation' that thought that we would never get old, are now starting to see "the beginning of the end" to life.
We pushed back "time" a few years or even a decade, but now know that we were just as 'mortal' as those, before us.
Modern medicines & advanced operations can do so much, but "Father Time" always wins, in the end! Enjoy what is left.

My husband is 72 years old and is battling cancer. Watching the man I’ve loved for so many years go through this is heartbreaking. Please keep him in your prayers. 🙏

It's exactly that you say! After 75 my forces and dynamism went downhill very fast. It's a constant acceleration until we die.

I experienced this in my life, and have warned younger friends. At 74, I was captaining a tennis team and at 78, I can hardly get out of bed before noon.

I just turned 77 in July. I've always been active and athletic. But I have noticed in the past few months that I have a lack of energy, and my knees are starting to complain.

I'm 77 and this year its been like hitting a wall. Physical ability has dropped off dramatically, soreness in shoulder and hands especially cold conditions. Still active but a noticeable decline. Good information so I will now double my stress work and just push myself more.
