  I've been using Duncan pickups for over thirty years, especially on my parts-built guitars. The best I can describe them is "musical" sounding.

  Been a Seymour Duncan user and supporter since 1992<br>Already have a custom 6 and 7 pickups for my use and other Seymour Duncan pickups in other guitars.<br>Happy 50th to and awesome company that stands behind there products and musicians

  I&apos;m older than Zac... Dimarzio came out first right around &apos;76 when Kiss Alive was out. &nbsp;Advertising in Guitar Player with celebrities like Ace Frehley, Rick Derringer and Al Dimeola all touting the new &quot;Super Distortion&quot; humbuckers. &nbsp;East Coast thing. &nbsp;Seymour may have started around same time but I don&apos;t think he emerged into national consciousness until a few years later.

  Got to spend some time with Seymour at an industry show in the mid 90&apos;s and he was such a nice guy, giving so much advice, inspiration, and stories. I still have his business card somewhere!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTegVChZP98&amp;t=1377">22:57</a> this is wild! I have an Eastwood mandocaster 12 I put some Duncan (designed) pickups in it. Same idea: bridge &amp; a “middle” pickup for the “neck”. Just volume and tone for me.

  I have an early set of seth lover&apos;s in my les paul. The story sold me, &nbsp;but the lower output clarity (than what was in there) was exactly what i was looking for. The tele to les paul swap in the middle of a set was way more balanced.

  I’ve used Seymour Duncan Antiquities in two guitars thus far. A Gibson LP Special and a custom Tele I built as a ‘Troublecaster’.<br>They really do sound great IMO.

  I put SD Jazz Neck and 59/Custom Bridge into my Epiphone SG = absolutely love the tones !! I love the clarity whether clean or dirty.

  Thanks, that was really useful. There&apos;s a lot of variation in sounds from the pickups, and I might have to try one or two more of them.
