8:10 the creators of that deck were judges and the goal of that deck was not to win but to get a ruling for deck size.

51:42 Someone in the comments of the original video pointed this out, and I feel inclined to do the same: By replying "I cannot believe you sent me this email", McWilliam simultaneously acknowledges that he read the email and that he was aware of the illegality of the project. So even the one guy in this whole plan who seems kinda smart is really just digging a deeper hole.

9:00 The original Yugioh story was more about games in general, but then the writer introduced Duel Monsters part way through and it was so popular with readers that he just made it the focus of the series; also, Yugi was always possessed by the Pharoah, Yami was just way more unhinged in the begining of the series, lol

1:13:15 It may have been difficult to understand but the reason is that Vintage had a lot of unselled common cards (bulk) that was going to be returned to Upper Deck for (probably) destruction. Instead of just taking the L, offering discounts or asking Konami for more rare cards they, for some reason, decided to print the rare cards themselves so they can put 1 rare with some common cards and sell it as a pack, it was literally just to help sell some unsold product, mind you they had like a few thousands of bulk and decided to print tens of thousands of rares.

Yeah, Yugioh is basically unscalpable. Someone like Logan Paul is going to have no chance to make any significant money because of Konami’s aggressive reprint policy.

A card might be worth $100-$200 now, but it’s going to be reprinted 5 times in the next 3 months and it’ll be worth $10 a few weeks.
