  Her performance of <b>Fast Car</b> at Wembley Stadium for the Nelson Mandela birthday concert. She had to fill in for Stevie Wonder, who could not perform for technical reasons. Singing live in front of a 72,000 crowd, she was obviously nervous at first, but the crowd soon warmed to her, and listened in awe.

Here are a few more &quot;quiet&quot; songs for your list. &quot;Home&quot; by Sheryl Crow. Just a beautiful song about small town America that is disappearing. The mud shower at the end alone is worth watching it. And &quot;Nobody&apos;s Home&quot; by Avril Lavigne. The song is a sad commentary on teen runaways and homelessness. Not her usual bubble gum pop music. Both are worth listening to. Great reaction as always!
