Smash is the success it is because of this and regardless of all the roadblocks that have been placed in their way the smash community still eclipses most other FGCs in terms of tournament numbers because it is just a huge, pretty and very fun game to play.

  A basic competitive game focus on being competitive then on not being boring. A great competitive game focus on being fun, then makes sure the fun doesn&apos;t turn anti-competitive.

  I wonder how much can you &quot;simplify&quot; a game more than VF when it already has 3 buttons and people still find it hard to get into. And block button is not a deterrent unlike for some other pro players BUT that doesn&apos;t stop MK from selling millions. Thing is, put fun casual party game/challenges to do other than rank. SEGA are masters of arcade fun. Just load it up with shit one would find in Yakuza/Dead Or Alive games, casinos, baseball, batting cages, go go-karting, darts, karaoke and stuff it also with prices and trinkets from other SEGA characters/IPs, from gacha dolls to stickers yadda yadda
