  "The Horn Blows at Midnight" never gets old!  My wife and I also were marvelling at how Jack's skits about his parents are always completely different.  Comedy gold...

  This was one of the episodes that I use to see being aired during the week at around 1:am on channel five here in NYC that I stayed up late every night watching these Jack Benny shows what fond memories.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ5AFw_yxko&amp;t=367">6:07</a> They did SUCH a good job building and polishing that running gag about &quot;The Horn Blows at Midnight&quot; all those years. &nbsp;Rochester getting out a handful of words, only to be cut off by Jack, was brilliant. &nbsp;They didn&apos;t even need to make the joke, they just had to remind the audience.

  Can you find and air the JB episode where Jack attends the naming of a school<br>in his honor and the kids put on a play where Barry Gordon plays Jack, an overweight kid plays Don Wilson, etc.

  Thanks for sharing this episode. &nbsp;Long time Barry Gordon fan here - never knew he portrayed Jack as a child. &nbsp;Gordon was great in A THOUSAND CLOWNS (1965) opposite Jason Robards and Martin Balsam - hilariously delivers a line in Frank Tashlin&apos;s THE GIRL CAN&apos;T HELP IT (1956) as the paperboy bewondering Jayne Mansfield&apos;s pulchritude - as an adult opposite Carroll O&apos;Connor in ARCHIE BUNKER&apos;S PLACE (1981) - and as the president of SAG. &nbsp;Thanks so much for sharing! What a delightful discovery!

  Collecting the coats and hats: &nbsp;It was very funny and seemed to get the most or longest laughs out of the audience when that last coat got piled on top of little Jack and he collapsed to the floor with his feet sticking out from under the pile. 😂<br><br>As far as whether this episode was a little boring or not, I’ve seen it about 4 times over the last…uh…the last fewer than 39 years and I think it depends on your state of mind when you watch it. &nbsp;Sometimes I thought it indeed was just a little dull. &nbsp;This time, I thought it was great! 😂<br><br>Barry Gordon was great as little Jack. &nbsp;He could’ve turned his head just a little bit slower, though. 😄

  Ha, &nbsp;I wel remember &quot;dish night&quot; at the Kramer Theater in Detroit. I guess it must have been on Tues or Wednesday night. I wasn&apos;t too keen on some of the movies as a kid (the movies were never science fiction or such, just &nbsp;your typical drama or western/blech). We had that set of dishes for years and years. <br> &nbsp;I DO recall seeing KING KNOG on its re-release in 1952 on a dish dish night---which was one of the rare really exciting ones to see/never forgot that night seeing KONG for the first time. Yikes!
